About

The Janet network provides connectivity to several hundred organisations, including universities, FE colleges and research organisations, but also has approaching 4Tbit/s of aggregate external capacity to R&E and other commercial networks around the world. In this session we’ll cover topics such as:

• The design of Janet’s backbone and regional access networks and the protocols used to route data around the network
• Which external networks or content providers does Janet connect to, and how?
• What tools can I use to better understand Janet’s wider connectivity?
