Tech 2 Tech - My network refresh

About

Our Janet-connected member organisations will need to periodically refresh their network infrastructure to provide the quality of connectivity that their users will expect. In this session we will discuss a variety of issues around such refreshes, including:

• What is current best practice when looking to tender for new backbone, edge, firewall or WiFi equipment?
• What factors influence current campus network designs?
• How do off site data centres or cloud hosting affect your refresh plans?
• How can Jisc’s equipment purchasing frameworks or other services help you with your refresh?

• Senior network engineers
